The Education Secretary, Damian Hinds, has spoken about character and resilience being the key to social mobility. A new advisory group of experts in character education has been set up to look at how best to support schools to run more activities, which will help build character and resilience. A consultation has been set up to capture views on the importance of character and examples of good provision and practice used by schools, colleges and other education settings to help the advisory group shape its recommendations.
