CBI Calls for Education System to Adapt to World of Work

In a recent speech, The Confederation of British Industry’s Director-General, Carolyn Fairbairn, spoke about education policy, outlining that as the world of work is changing, the education system needs to keep up. She announced that the CBI’s education and skills team will be working with its members across the country and feeding back to government about issues including young people spending more time in work and preparing for work, whether GCSEs are necessary in their current form, and how the CBI can support employers to work with education and training providers.
