Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced a package of measures to support workers as in response to coronavirus. This includes a new Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme which will be set up to help pay people’s wages and Universal Credit and tax credits being increased as part of an almost £7 billion welfare boost.
