Ofsted to Inspect Grade 1 Providers & Publish Provider Financial Ratings

by | 0 comments

The Department for Education has announced that all FE and skills providers rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted will no longer be exempt from routine inspections. There will be a consultation published soon about the move to remove the ‘outstanding’ exemption and, subject to parliamentary approval, it will be removed by September next year.

The Department for Education has also announced that it will, in future, work with Ofsted to “ensure all reports also include a rating for financial management and oversight within the school or college in order to ensure best practice is shared across the sector”. No further details have been provided yet.
