SCTP is excited to announce bursary opportunities for staff working within post 16 Colleges or Independent Training Providers within the SELEP area. The funding is available to pay for newly appointed teaching staff (in priority skill areas) to take teaching qualifications. Bursaries are to be used to pay the programme/tuition costs of a new member of staff undertaking a Cert Ed or PGCE thus avoiding the need for that member of staff having to take out an Adult Loan to pay for those costs. Each grant is worth up to a maximum of £4000 and match funding of £1500 per member of staff is required by the provider. There are 35 bursary grants to be allocated across the SE LEP area (East Sussex, Essex and Kent). The bursary application form can be downloaded here.
