We’re delighted to announce that Little Gate Farm has become the latest associate member of SCTP. A word from our new member:
Little Gate Farm is a charity that supports adults with autism and learning difficulties into paid employment. Last year we received funding to launch a Supported Apprenticeship/Traineeship Programme across East Sussex over the next 5 years. Each year we have a target of finding roles for 10 young people aged 16-24 with autism/LD and holding an Education Health Care Plan. We find the employer and the young person, work together to create the right apprenticeship and then identify training providers to deliver the apprenticeships. A job coach works with the young person for the duration of the apprenticeship, supporting the young person and the employer and will work closely with the training assessor. We want to work with training providers who understand working in a supported way.
We welcome Dee Flower and Andrea Randall-Smith and look forward to working with them in the future and helping them make some meaningful partnerships within SCTP. For more information about Little Gate Farm, visit their website at www.littlegate.org.uk.
