A review has been launched to examine inequality in Britain in pay, wealth and health. The review will examine the role of policies, from taxes and benefits through to trade policy, education policies, the labour market, regional development, competition policy and regulation. The review, led by Sir Angus Deaton, comes as he warns that Britain risks heading to US levels of inequality, to become one of the most unequal countries.
