The latest labour market statistics have been published by the Office for National Statistics. They show that in the last six months the number of people in work increased and the number of unemployed people fell. The employment rate was estimated at 75.8% and the unemployment rate was estimated at 4%. The DWP has issued a press release highlighting these figures and that wages are increasing at the joint-fastest rate in a decade.
