The Resolution Foundation has published a report on employment trends over the last decade since the global financial crisis. It looks into the decade of employment growth but notes that some of this has come at the cost of job quality and also that younger people have fared less well in many areas. Minister for Employment, Alok Sharma, delivered a speech at the report launch, focusing on three key areas; ensuring people have a good job, improving participation of under-represented groups in the employment market and helping people progress in work and earn more. His speech can be read here.
