As a data controller we have a responsibility to make sure you know why and how your personal information is being collected in accordance with relevant data protection law.
Why we are processing your data – We are collecting your data for the purpose of administering the Brighton and Hove Citywide Skills Event 2026. The information you provide will be used to process your booking and/or nomination. We will also use it to contact you regarding your booking and/or nomination. We may also contact you to undertake post-event evaluation. If nominated for an award, your nomination details including your name, your training provider, your employer (if provided) and your qualification title and level, will be included in the event presentation and/or in the event printed brochure. If shortlisted for an award we will request a photo that will be used in the event presentation.
We have lawful basis for collection and use of this data under Legitimate Interest. The legitimate interest in question is the promotion of the value of skills to the residents of Brighton and Hove. Your data may be shared with your training provider/college to confirm your registration and achievement of your apprenticeship. We will hold your data for 12 months after the event.
