Employers who pay the apprenticeship levy have 24 months to spend their levy funds. May was the first month of expiry of funds from employers unspent levy accounts and the government has revealed that employers have lost access to £11 million of their levy funds, which is 8% of the £135 million which was paid in May 2017.
